When KYDG began, it was just a dream shared by a few friends. Today, it is a powerful youth movement making real change in Luwero District.

How It All Started

In 2019, the founders of KYDG were simply young people with a shared concern — how can we help our peers who are struggling? With determination and a spirit of giving, they started by supporting each other in education and basic needs.

From a Small Group to a Growing Family

As word spread, more youth joined the cause. Within a few years, membership grew from 9 to 115, with the majority being young women. This growth reflects the strong trust and commitment within the community.

Strength in Unity

The success of KYDG comes from teamwork. Every member has a role — from organizing outreach events to mentoring others. Our projects succeed because we work hand in hand, with transparency and accountability guiding everything we do.
